Sweet Yee doing her homework 15 jan
Glad to see Yee doing her homework on her own.
At the gate (returning from work), I was proud to hear her playing on the violin.
Thank God for such awesome and independent daughter.
Yee as Class Monitor 14 jan
Koh Yee was elected Class Monitor for term 1. It was a pleasant surprise to her. She commented that the teacher was not familiar with her.
Yee was Class Monitor for three terms in P2 and one term for P1. Mdm Tang entrusted her with the taking of attendance for the entire year of P2.
When you don't speak up... 15 jan
Zee returned from swim class and told me that he accidentally pushed his friend. His friend said Zee did it on purpose but Zee told him that it was accidental. The friend told Mdm Chong and the teacher scolded Zee. I asked Zee if he explained to teacher that I he did not do it on purpose. Zee said he dare not and cried.
I taught Zee that it was very important to tell the teacher the truth. If not, teacher would think he did it on purpose. Zee asked me to explain to teacher on his behalf. I told Zee that he is in primary school now and he needs to speak up on his own; parents cannot speak for him.
I also cautioned Zee that if he don't speak up, he may get bullied.
Zee was afraid of teacher and dare not go to school tomorrow. He was relieved when he realized there was no school tomorrow.
Sweet Yee said she wish she can explain the teacher.
I prayed with Zee and asked God to give him boldness. Amen.
